world language party 14.01.2010 jeden Mittwoch

The boat party is this Wednesday on the ship Eastern Comfort with live music and many languages. The weekly language/ international party brings together people of all ages from everywhere, and is known for its friendly atmosphere where it's easy to meet and talk with people in a variety of languages--I help with arranging language partners. Come early for that. The party starts at 7pm with my 5-star hummus. The Entry is one Euro until 8:30pm, after that two Euros (the extra Euro to pay the band).

What's special this week:

-FU & HU international club and ERASMUS students (with valid ID) get in free.
-Italian/Spanish and English teachers will be onboard from 8pm to help persons in those languages. This week from Ireland: The Sunbeams. "The Sunbeams are an acoustic 2-piece covers act from Cork, Ireland. A versatile setlist covers everything from Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Elvis Presley,  the Rolling Stones, Bowie & the Beatles to Radiohead, Nirvana, U2 and Kings of Leon, with a few Irish folk classics thrown in too." Their concert will begin around 10pm.

Last week the lounge was packed with people coming in from the cold and finding a place in the international atmosphere. About 100. A good night to speak Greek, Farsi, Hebrew, Polish, Japanese, Russian and Australian along with the more regular French, Italian, Spanish, English and German.
